I found a fantastic TED Talk on bionic prosthetics. I wanted to find out how far the technology has come along in terms of futuristic, dystopian designs. What is spoken about in the video is how the use of data, formed from technical diagnostics, of movement through the human body, can help develop designs for prosthetics such a unique way to work with the human body, instead of for it. What I was amazed by, is how the use of the nervous system, connected through machinery, within the muscles can actually operate mechanical limbs. This is what i need to find out for my research into my bionic, neuron powered, augmented reality eyeball.
For thought who wish to watch, all the information in this video is quite staggering in the way the future of human based technology is coming forward, the video is 19 minutes long.
