Project brief aims

You are your own greatest asset; you are totally unique. As designers, illustrators and visual communicators you need to be confident about your work, but you also need to be confident about yourself as a professional and unique individual. This task aims for you to start thinking about (and showing) who you are and what your strengths really are; writing your USP and creating your CV. 

Project brief objectives

The unique selling proposition (USP) or unique selling point is a marketing concept first proposed as a theory to explain a pattern in successful advertising campaigns of the early 1940s. In this case the product that you need to market is you. What is your unique selling point? This can be a hard thing to do, but you have to become a sales person of your own skills and strengths.

Task 1


I am a traditional illustrator and draftsman with a unique twist for contemporary and eccentric designs. I work from a traditional background while introducing modern techniques and skills. I want to work in the comic book industry to build marvellous stories and create magnificent worlds. I wish to employ strange and beautiful designs to readers who would normally expect the norm.
