Cropping Images

Taking some inspiration from the John Baldessari art book in my previous blog post here. I have also used a previous studio workshop where we were introduced to cropping images and creating different outcomes from a single image. This is another form of Visual Narrative.

Below is a scan of my sketchbook. I explored a few different crops, different for each image, and made a note of why I cropped them. Some crops where based on size, shape, image, texture, camera angle.

I have also taken into account where some of my outcomes might exist in the real world. An audience, perhaps, or a place. Taking some of my research I found from the Southampton Zoo Guide book, I have created a new fresh cover based on the original, and created my own guide of the zoo, based on the text from Ann Vickers.
